Luomua

Ostin silakkamarkkinoilta luomuvillalankaa. Tunnen lammasfarmarin ennestään muista yhteyksistä. Ja tälläkin kertaa farmarin vaimo moikkasi mulle ennenkuin ehdin nähdä heidän kojuaan. Sitä olin kuitenkin ihan varta vasten lähtenyt etsimään, kun tarvitsin harmaata lapaslankaa.

I bought organic wool yarn from fish market. I know the farmer from other things. And again this time his wife greeted me before I saw their booth. I was there because of them. I needed some grey wool for mittens.

Aluksi tuntui, että lapasesta tulee hervottoman iso, mutta lopputulos sopii just mun käteen. Toivottavasti myös saajan käteen, sillä tämä menee tais vaihtoon. Näistä lapasista ja kaulurista mä san tilalle kirjoneulesukat. Mikä koetilkkku? Mikä semmonen on? Mihin sitä käytetään?

At first I thought the mitten will be huge. But when I finished it, it fitted perfectly. I hope it fits to the receiver as well. This is one swap knitting again. I give these mittens and a cowl and I get fair isle socks.What swatch? What is it? Where do you use it?

Ja sitten on nää sukat. Ensimmäisellä yrityksellä ei kantapää osunut kohdalleen. En tiä mikä fiba siinä oikein tuli, mutta niin vaan kävi. No niistä tulee sitten joskus isännälle sukat, kunhan saan sen toisen tehtyä. Toinen yritys tuotti halutun lopputuloksen, mutta koska en yleensä tykkää kutoa samaa mallia montaa kertaa, vaihdoin pitsikuvioa toiseen yritykseen. Ja nää menee kans vaihtoon. Tilalle mä saan huovutetut lapaset.

And then there is these socks. At first try the heel didn't go where it should be. I don't know what happened, but hubby gets them when ever I get myself up to make the second sock. And because I don't like to knit same pattern several times, I changed the lace pattern for the second try. These are for swap as well. I get felted mittens.
